哲學碩士學分班〜老年哲學：老化、疾病、意義與死亡
█開課日期：116年3月3起週三晚上7:00-9:40為期12週
█教學目的：
課程以西塞羅《論老年》所歸納的四個古老問題為骨架——老年使人退出事務、使身體衰弱、使人失去快樂、使人接近死亡——依序開展四個單元：（一）「老」的社會與文化建構；（二）身體、疾病、養生與照顧；（三）晚年的意義與敘事；（四）死亡與善終。各單元以東西方哲學文本為主體，並引入批判老年學（critical gerontology）與文化老年學（cultural gerontology）作為對話者：前者協助我們揭露「成功老化」、計時年齡與年齡歧視等論述中的規範預設，後者協助我們看見老年意象如何被文化所塑造；哲學的任務則是在描述與批判之後，進一步追問什麼是值得過的晚年。課程同時置入東亞處境——孝道倫理、家庭照顧的轉型、臺灣的長期照顧與《病人自主權利法》——並納入死亡現象學的探討。
學員將透過「長者訪談」與「遺囑書寫」兩項作業，把哲學概念帶入他人與自己的生命處境，並以學期報告發展出一個屬於自己的老年哲學論題。
